Have you ever felt so overwhelmed with everything you need to do, you just don’t know where to begin?  Us too! Sometimes it seems as if stress is a constant companion, always lurking within the depths of our mind, threatening to take away our joy at any moment.

No worries tribers! We’re here to help! We’ve put together a list of our tried-and-true ways that help us minimize stress.

  1. Just Breathe - At the first sign of stress, take a deep breath, slowly exhaling as you reassure yourself, “I’ve got this!” Sometimes all it takes is a few steady breaths to get back on track.

  2. Meditate - Take tip number one a step further, by closing your eyes and clearing your mind.  Meditating for a few minutes each day can drastically help boost your mood, as well as help put things in perspective.

  3. Don’t overcommit - We’ve all been guilty of putting too much on our plate. We’re here to remind you—it’s okay to say no. If something doesn’t impact you positively or leaves you feeling drained, it’s time to say goodbye!

  4. Get some sleep - Don’t forget that sleep is vital. A good night’s rest will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated; not to mention, healthier too.

  5. Be active - Even if you only have a few minutes to spare, try going outside and taking a short walk.  Fresh air can do wonders for the soul. If you enjoy exercising, make time in your week to do what you love doing, whether it be hiking, running, kickboxing, weights, or yoga (or all of the above). Exercise has proven to be a great stress reliever, while also maintaining overall wellness.

  6. Talk it out - Sometimes all you need is a listening ear.  Expressing your feelings to someone you trust can help organize your thoughts, as well as provide some unexpected help along the way.

  7. Take time for yourself - Relax. Read a book.  Watch an episode of your favorite T.V. show.  Even draw up a bath with our favorite Salt Bath Detox, which we guarantee will help you unwind! (For the recipe, click here.) Whatever it is, remember to take care of YOU.

So when stress begins to build, follow one (or all) of our surefire ways to reduce stress, allowing you to enjoy life to the fullest!
